(hd) On Thursday (25.09.2025) at 15:00, a traffic accident occurred in Herford at the junction of Werrestraße / Wehmülenstraße in which one person was injured. A bus was traveling on Werrestraße in the direction of Löhne at the time. A 39-year-old woman from Bielefeld was turning out of Wehmühlenstrasse, which is a subordinate road under traffic law, onto Werrestrasse in her Skoda Fabia. In doing so, she disregarded the right of way of the approaching bus. The bus driver had to brake hard to prevent a collision with the car. The heavy braking caused a passenger on the bus to fall and sustain several injuries. The injured 86-year-old woman from Herford had to be taken to hospital by the emergency services.
