Hückelhoven - A previously unknown shoplifter wanted to leave a consumer electronics store with his loot on November 11 (Monday) at around 6.40 p.m. and was approached by a store detective shortly before the exit. The thief then pushed the detective so that he fell to the ground and fled the store. The thief lost some of his loot during his escape. A customer present in the store who witnessed the incident chased the fugitive to the vicinity of a fashion park and caught him there. However, after the perpetrator threatened him with a knife, the witness broke off the pursuit in the direction of a fast food restaurant.
The perpetrator was around 20 to 25 years old, about 170 to 175 centimetres tall and slim. He had a southern appearance, short dark hair and a dark beard. He was wearing an orange rain jacket, white sneakers and black Puma jogging trousers.
